Fire Department

Established in 1949, the Sharon Township Fire Department has grown from a volunteer department of local farmers, business owners and residents to a part-time department of approximately 40 members, half of which live within the township, and are responsible for responding to more than 700 incidents per year. The department focuses on their services through weekly trainings and recruitment. Sharon Township Fire Department also provides mutual aid to surrounding fire departments including Granger, Hinckley, Wadsworth, Copley, Bath and Medina.  The Fire Chief is Mike Stanec and the Assistant Fire Chief is Michael George.
