Sharon Nature Preserve

Sharon Nature Preserve, located at 6734 State Road, was acquired by the Medina County Park District in 2014. While the nature preserve largely consists of high-quality wetlands, large sugar maples can also be found on the property, along with a 0.4-mile nature trail that visitors can hike.

Prior to the park district’s acquisition of the nature preserve, a survey of the property found close to 40 types of trees and shrubs as well as numerous insects and amphibians, multiple species of birds and evidence of the presence of mammals. The property includes a wet sedge meadow habitat that borders the Wolf Creek between Ridge Road and State Road.

The preserve includes a 20-car parking lot. Leashed pets are permitted, but biking is not permitted on the property.
