Sharon Township Circle Renovation and Improvements Notice of Bid

The Sharon Township Board of Trustees are requesting bids for The Sharon Township Circle Renovation and Improvements, in Sharon Center, Ohio. Bid forms, specifications and Blueprints can be obtained by bidders at their own expense from:

Bidders will be required to purchase the complete set; no partial sets will be issued prior to the receipt of the bids and the award of the contract.  The Bid Forms may be reviewed, by appointment at 6801 Ridge Road, Wadsworth, OH 44281. All bids must be received no later than July 23, 2024 at 6:30 P.M.  The bids will be opened and read aloud at 7:00 PM at the Sharon Township Administration Building. The bids can be personally dropped off Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM at the Sharon Township Maintenance Garage, 6801 Ridge Road, Wadsworth, OH 44281 or mailed to Sharon Township Trustees, PO Box 7, Sharon Center, Ohio 44274. All bids must be filed on forms provided by the Sharon Township Board of Trustees and submitted in person or in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Sharon Township Circle Renovation and Improvements.”

Each bidder shall be required to file with the bid, the following:

1.    A Bid Guarantee in the form of either;

  1. A bond in accordance with R.C. §153.54(B), for the full amount of the bid as set forth in the bid documents, or
  2. A Bid Bond Certified Check, Cashier’s Check or Letter of Credit pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code. A Bid Bond, Letter of Credit shall be revocable only at the option of the Township. The amount of the Certified Check, Cashier’s Check or Letter of Credit shall equal to 10% of the grand total bid.

2.    A Statement of Bidder Resources and Experience,

3.    A Non-Collusion Affidavit,

4.    Personal Property Tax Verification Affidavit,

5.    Independent Contractor Indemnification Clause,

6.    A State of Ohio, Equal Opportunity Division, Certificate of Compliance

Bidders must comply with Prevailing Wage Rates on public improvements in Medina County, Ohio as determined by the Davis Bacon Act.

The bid will be awarded to the lowest and best bidder.

A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 9:00 AM local time on July 15, 2024 at the Sharon Township Administration Building, 1322 Sharon Copley Road, Sharon Center, OH 44274. Project requirements will be reviewed, followed by a tour of the areas affected by this project. The Sharon Township Board of Trustees reserve the right to waive any informalities and to reject any and all bids.

This Notice of Bid will also be published in the Akron Beacon Journal and the Medina Gazette on July 3, 2024 and July 10, 2024.
